It's Jeff turn to go away. A few months ago I went away with 6 of my friends on a kayak trip. Now, the husbands of this group get to have their turn. Yesterday morning, they drove to French River where they will do a canoe trip. They will be gone until Wednesday. That is 5 whole days on my own.
It is day 2 of 5, and so far, things have gone fairly well. The part that is most challenging for me even when Jeff is home is the dreaded "witching hour". I am always anxiously waiting for 5:15 to roll around when I know Jeff will be home and I will have some help. So when he is away, the "witching hour" can turn into a "witching-marathon".
My friends and I have planned lots of activities together to help get through the next few days. Yesterday, we met in Toronto to say goodbye to some mutual friends who are moving back to the UK. This morning we all met at one house so the kids could play and this afternoon, they will all be coming here to play and have pizza. Tomorrow, a few of us are staying at a cottage in Bayfield for a few days.
It is nice to have lots to do, but I am still looking forward to Jeff being home again!
