- Waved and smiled at people passing by in their cars
- Wrote kind messages to neighbours in sidewalk chalk
- Swept the sidewalk
- Walked around the block to collect litter

- Gave our neighbours some art, flowers and a zucchini from our garden
- Took nana and papa some art, flowers and chocolates
- Took some clothes, toys and books to the local thrift shop
- Bought some food and donated it to the food bank box at the grocery store
- Mailed great-grandpa Bill and Baba Gee small parcels
- Filled our bird feeder
- Watered our plants
- Baked some goodies to give away
- Held the door open for someone at the coffee shop
- Heather helped Addie put on her shoes
- Lauchlan shared his sucker with daddy

- Jeff brought me my coffee
- Addie let Heather have the stuffed monkey first
One of the kind acts that Heather really wanted to do was hold a lemonade stand but it was too chilly and rainy today. Later this week we are supposed to have some hot weather so we are planning on having our lemonade stand then. We will donate the money we make.
The girls also learned a lesson in "paying it forward". While they were picking up litter today a man from the neighbourhood came to see what they were doing. He happened to have a pocket full of pennies which he gave to the girls. They were delighted.

Weird, for some reason I can only comment anonymously! Anyway, I just wanted to say I loved reading about all the things you and the family did for each other and others in your neighbourhood! What a great post.
