Weekend Adventures and Accomplishments

What a lovely weekend. We have finally been getting some summer weather and by that I mean it is hot and sunny and it is not raining.

Jeff and I both accomplished quite a lot yesterday around the yard and house. The most exciting thing that Jeff did for me was put up a clothes line! I am so happy to finally have one! I feel like our family does our fair share to help the environment, but using the dryer so much was something that was really bothering me. I felt like I was behind the times! Ah - what a great feeling to have a clothes line. I can't wait to do laundry!

My laundry drying in the sun!

I mowed the lawn which is one of my favourite things to do. I am not being sarcastic either. I love how the lawn looks after it is mowed, I love being outside and listening to my iPod and I love having a short break from life inside the house. It is some nice reflection time for me.

Here I am mowing the lawn.

We rode our bikes to Kidspark this afternoon which is a festival for kids. Our kids had a great time and they got to see their friend Mowgli who they haven't seen for awhile. We also had ice cream.

Lauchlan was so tired but not about to miss out on ice cream!

We have noticed lately that Lauchlan is really starting to do "boy" things. He spends a lot of time doing this:

Loading his dump truck....

Pushing his dump truck....

My girls never played with trucks at all when they were Lauchlan's age. Even now, they don't play with trucks that often.

It was a great weekend!
