It was organized by Alternatives Journal and based on the number of people out and about, I would say that it was a huge success! I hope they do it again next summer!

Here is the 2nd band that we saw,
on a porch just around the corner from our house.
I'm not sure the band name, but this band was very upbeat and lively.
The kids loved this, of course!
There were so many friends and neighbours out
that we only ended up seeing about 5 (out of 20) bands.
I hope they extend the time by an hour next summer.
Our last stop was at the "Children's Music Garden".
There were lots of instruments for the kids to try out.
There was a giant xylophone...
...and a music stick made from bottle caps. I would like
to make both instruments (especially because we have
a gazillion bottle caps around the house).
What an amazing event! Can't wait until the next one!

And that funny beer-cap stick is a traditional (and somewhat amusing) Australian bush instrument. As fun to make as it is to play!

I was trying to keep an eye out for you and your "Apples" but did not see you : ( We must have just missed each other though, because the people in the background on you Xylophone photos are also in our pics!
