Valentine Postcards

We made some Valentine postcards yesterday.  I took some watercolour paper and cut it into postcard size rectangles. 

The kids used heart-shaped cookie cutters to paint hearts onto their cards.

I used a black felt (or, as some people call it - a marker) 

to divide the card into two sections and added lines for the address.

I encouraged the kids to try painting free-hand hearts, but 

they felt more comfortable using the heart cookies cutters as tracers.

After the paint dried, we brought out the glue 

and glitter to embellish the cards a little more.
